US Approves Potential Missile Deal with Netherlands

(MENAFN) The US State Department has given the green light to a potential agreement involving AIM-120C-8 advanced medium-range air-to-air missiles and associated gear for the Netherlands, the Pentagon announced on Tuesday.

According to the Defense Security Cooperation Agency, the estimated value of this transaction stands at $570 million, as detailed in an official release.

"The proposed sale will improve the Netherlands’ capability to meet current and future threats by ensuring it has modern, capable air-to-air munitions," the agency emphasized.

The primary contractor assigned for this deal will be RTX Corporation, headquartered in Arlington, Virginia.
